What GameMeta Is

GameMeta (gamemeta.org) is a collection of free, interactive decision guides for video games. The site has no accounts, no login, no payments, and no user-submitted content. Every decision tool runs entirely in your browser — your answers are never sent to our servers.

What We Collect

We use privacy-focused, aggregate usage analytics (Google Analytics 4) to understand which guides are used and where players get stuck, so we can improve the tools. Analytics events may include:

  • Pages visited and approximate time on page
  • Decision-tool events: tool started, questions answered, result type shown (e.g. "Recommended" or "Not Ready")
  • Approximate geographic region (country/city level) and device type

We never collect: your in-game answers tied to your identity, game accounts, usernames, IP-address-linked profiles, or any personally identifiable information. Decision answers are processed locally in your browser and discarded when you leave or restart.

Cookies

Analytics may set first-party cookies used solely to distinguish approximate usage patterns. The site itself functions fully with cookies disabled.

Third Parties

Analytics data is processed by Google Analytics under Google's data processing terms. We do not sell, rent, or share data with advertisers, brokers, or any other third parties.

Data Retention & Your Choices

Aggregate analytics are retained for up to 14 months, then deleted automatically. Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing to export or delete on request — but if you have any privacy concern, contact us and we will respond.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will note the update date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
